This USAF photo shows the F-16 firing a high speed anti radiation missile. The F-16 was originally made for a low cost light day fighter. But has been used for bombing in all weather and night. It has been sold to countrys all over the world.
 
Shown left is the F-15E
This is the front line of the USAF
It is used for all weather day and night attacks. The F-15 can carry twice the payload of the F-16 and twice the fuel. Over all its a larger plane than the F-16. Its mauverablity above 21000 ft. is better than any other plane in the US with the exception of the F-22.
The F-22 will replace the F-15 in 2004.
I dont think it will die that easy.
